![]() ![]() Songkong and Jaikoz look interesting, but they seem to have limited databases. Hopefully I can do better than the Itunes tagging I have been using at any rate. Post any more solutions you can think of below and I'll check/try them out. I like musicbee, and beets looks a bit intimidating, but maybe I'll try that out. I've seen some promising options on github - a couple programs only work on android, though, another one for PC I can't get to work with mp3tag (it's a freedb proxy for gracenote), and another script for gracenote ala mp3tag that is either unfinished, or outdated. What works for you? What would work in theory if you haven't tested it yet? I want something that can plow through a huge directory structure of music and tag it, ideally with Gracenote's database (does MP3tag have an addon for it?) so that I don't have to do a bunch of manual work. I much prefer Gracenote, but a large amount of the software that used to work with CDDB doesn't seem to anymore. I've been using a combination of scripts (which hook into the Itunes API) and MP3Tag (also with an Itunes database plugin) but it's far from automated and is tedious. I thought I'd ask /r/datahoarder first even though /r/musichoarder is more relevant simply because the userbase is much higher. Just make sure to tag the post with the flair and give a little background info/context. On Fridays we'll allow posts that don't normally fit in the usual data-hoarding theme, including posts that would usually be removed by rule 4: “No memes or 'look at this '” We are not your personal archival army. ![]()
